Best exercise for love handles?

It seems like love handles are the only thing I can’t get rid of. I do thirty minutes of cardio five times (or, at least, i try to) a week and ab routines about three times a week. However, i have nasty bulging sides (esp. on my back by my waist line) how do I get rid of this?!

  1. You can’t just do regular ab workouts, you have to work the obliques (the muscles under those love handles). You can do this by doing side crunches and a variety of other exercises. You are doing cardio, so that is a good start. My favorite way to work out the obliques is a balance board. It’s fun and you can incorporate it easily into your workout or do it while watching TV.

    Here is a list of some good suggestions to lose the love handles. I think the site might be targeted a little more towards men, but its the same muscles so I’d imagine you’ll find it helpful.

  2. Try a good trainer.

  3. Trunk twisters! Stand up with a 35 or 45 pound plate and twist your core from side to side… You can also get on the pull up bar and twist your legs from side to side (bend your knees first).
