George,
If you want to get a six pack, don’t bother with abs-specific exercises like sit-ups because they are the least effective method for getting six pack abs. Assuming you’re eating a healthy diet (ie no junk food!), you should be going for high intensity resistance workouts which will work your whole body and indirectly your entire midsection which will get your abdominals rock hard in no time. hit the track buddy! Actually any kind of cardio will help. But running, assuming you have healthy joints, is the best thing out there. Try and get 30 minutes a day (don’t have to be all at once) 4 times a week.
Also, look into interval training. Where you might sprint a minute rest one, repeat till you get at least 20 minutes.

It is not just a case of 2 to 3 exercises, it is doing a variety of excerises that effect all of your body as well as a healthy diet…
Try a google search on the internet, you will more than likely find more exercises to help that particular area.
The key is also do not rush the exercise performing the sit ups and press ups slower with one minute breaks in between will make more of an impact on your muscles.

You can do ab specific exercises to get a six pack, but you should vary them and try different ones. Boring old crunches only work to an extent. Try habging leg raises or use a stability ball and dumbells to increase the resistance.
Also you need to focus on your diet. Cut out ALL processed foods. Eat healthily and consistently as well as doing your exercises and in a few weeks( depending of ocurse how much belly fat you have to lose) you will have your six pack.
Check this out for some useful information on what you can do to speed up the process.
