How to get rid of excess belly fat?
Posted on Sunday, March 7, 2010 in Diet
I have been doing a specific ab exercise by a professional made for abs for about 4 months. I can feel my muscles under my layer of belly fat, and I wish it would go away! I know that I have built up muscle under there, but I can’t seem to get rid of the fat so show to muscle. What should I do to now burn the fat on my stomach? Please be specific!

You can’t get rid of fat directly from your stomach. You can build up the muscles under the fat, but belly fat is something that will only be gone once you get rid of fat in others areas, such as your behind!

Run. This is basicly the only way to lose the fat around your belly/torso. Weightlifting should of burnt some of it off but if there is still some left the only thing to do is surgery (NOT reccomended) or run. Running is very healthy and with a proper diet will result in 1-10lbs of fatloss per week.

Have you looked into the Flat Belly Diet? You can google it & get a summary on the idea – if you like it you can get the book. I borrowed the book from a friend & copied the important parts.
First you go 4 days "de-bloating" …it’s tough but it works. My husband lost 3 lbs his first day & that goes to show just how much sodium was in his system. I’m a woman so I lost weight slower.
Next is basically portion control w/their recipes. I found a bunch on the net too. You get the allotted amount of carbs, veggies, protien & monounsaturated fatty acids 4 meals a day.
I like it because it’s RE-taught me how much food is ok so I can keep up watching my portions after I’ve met my goal. In the mean time I get to try some yummy recipes.

It does have a lot to do with your diet, but belly fat is also known as stubborn fat. The body stores fat there for extra protection for your organs. In order to get rid of all the fat covering you muscles, you have to do some trickery.
It takes time and work, but the results are worth it.
You may have one already, but get a stability ball and do some ab exercises on that. It is really great for the abs.
There are several exercises to try, but I am not sure what your current program offers.
Feel free to visit http://6packabprogram.com for some awesome tips on losing that extra bit of fat and getting your six pack to show.
There is also a free report on that site that helped me a lot.

No matter how you slice it, diet is a dirty word. It smacks of deprivation and hunger pangs. To overcome the pain, you need a plan.

1. Know Your Weight Loss Goals
2. Understand Your Weight Loss Personality

4. Make a Firm Weight Loss Commitment
Finally, be sure you’re committed to losing weight for yourself — not because someone else is pressuring you to do so.
Then, take things slowly, keep these tips in mind, and you should be on the road to weight loss in no time.

1. If what you are eating has less than 1 carb, count it as 1 carb just to be sure.
2. Totally avoid caffine at least for the first two weeks on the program.
3. Drink a MINIMUM of 8 glasses of plain water or seltzer daily.
4. Don’t weigh yourself more than once a week
5. Take starting measurements as well as weight – sometimes you’ll lose inches before pounds
6. Avoid any type of "low carb" sweetener for the first two weeks
7. Don’t compare your loss to someone else’s – this is a YMMV thing (your milage may vary)
8. Stalls are common around the third week so don’t panic
9. If you follow your plan to the T and don’t lose, consider Candida as a possibility and avoid vinegar, cheese, mushrooms and any other fermented food
10. Have bloodwork done before starting so you have a comparison
11. Cholesterol can be elevated in the first few weeks til your body adjusts – make sure your doctor knows that you’re doing low carb and when you started
12. Don’t blame the diet if you don’t read your plan book — blame the diet if you don’t read the labels — Don’t blame the diet if you don’t follow the diet
Hope this can help u.

Weight loss is a tricky topic. Lots of people are unhappy with their present weight, but most aren’t sure how to change it – and many would be better off staying where they are. You may want to look like the models or actors in magazines and on TV, but those goals might not be healthy or realistic for you. Besides, no magical diet or pill will make you look like someone else.
So what should you do about weight control?
